Memories of Ermysted’s and the school’s history

These pages of the website are all about you and your memories. Please have a look at the photographs or read some of the memories written by Old Boys about their time at Ermysted’s.

We’ve also put together a write-up about a few Famous Old Boys, and we’re also starting to now add Old Boy Profiles to tell your their stories.

You can now access some information from the school archives to help you remember headmasters, teachers, Head Boys and House Captains from your time at school.

We are so sorry to bring you the news of the death of a former pupil and long-serving master, who many of you will have many memories of. William Llewellyn Jones (known as Billy Jones) passed away on Christmas Eve, aged 86.

He attended EGS 1942-50 and returned as a teacher from 1957 to 1986. As you'll see from this Chronicles entry on his retirement, he played a massive role in Ermysted's life during his long association with the school.

We send our condolences to his friends and family at this sad time. We will share funeral details when we know them.
