A few words from the President of the Old Boys’ Society

headteacherHello and welcome to the Old Boys’ Society website.

The membership of the society now runs to many hundreds and representatives can be found from every era, stretching from before the Second World War to the modern day. Our regular newsletters and social media updates help keep former students in touch and introduce them to each new generation of Old Boys: be sure to look at the society’s Facebook page and follow the Society on Twitter to stay up to date.

This website contains a wealth of material and provides a rich source of information on the activities of Ermysted’s Grammar School and the Old Boys’ Society; I would especially recommend the archives, which contain some fascinating items, and the calendar of key events.

The Old Boys’ Society is a longstanding and important part of the School community. Through its close contact with the School, it actively supports the current students by funding many important activities and promoting many key events: the new Sixth Form building is just one example of how the Old Boys’ Society contribute directly to the development of the School. The Old Boys’ support of the students is invaluable, irreplaceable and much appreciated.

I hope you enjoy the website and thank you for your interest in the Society.

Mr M J Evans, Old Boys’ Society President
