Old Boy Scott Thwaites (2001-06) took Bronze on the final day of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, after coming third in the cycling road race.

Valedictories for departing staff, Summer 2014

Staff with a combined service to Ermysted’s of 116 years have left the school this summer. Stalwarts David Clough, Ian McLean and Pete Sykes have retired – between them they’ve worked at EGS for 87 years!
